![]() ![]() Desktop audio goes through the HDMI on my capture card and Discord audio through a separate channel using Virtual Audio Cable and VBAN. My gaming PC on the other hand sends all the desktop audio and Discord audio to the capture PC. from the capture PC to my gaming PC using VBAN. I run the mic through Voicemeeter to my gaming PC's Voicemeeter where I then send it to Discord, games and whatever needs it. My mic is connected to my capture PC and my headphones to my gaming PC. I have Voicemeeter running on both of my computers. For me it's enough and it really makes my life easier. Like you said it lets you do very similiar things to RME audio interface but with limitations. Yeah, Voicemeeter really is a friend of a streamer or a youtuber. ![]() So from what I understand you have this running on your capture PC and you actually listen to the game audio through your capture PC as opposed to the PC the game is actually running on? Pretty cool, not too much latency? But to setup a stream or just to better route audio channels on a more standard setup this is gold thanks for making me privy to it. The only caveat is that these interfaces are $1000+, but this Voicemeeter software lets you do a very similar thing for free! I mean let me be clear Voicemeeter has some limitations my RME interfaces simply don't, very watered down in comparison to "Totalmix" which is the software that runs on the RME interfaces and it could never replace it for me. Or if I have a friend over I can hook up an additional mic and route both the mics into discord as opposed to just one. ![]() This allows me to send multiple inputs or outputs to different programs even if they typically only allow for one input, for example - I can mix both my soundboard and my microphone into the same "input" channel that I can then send into Discord. I've never seen this Voicemeeter software before very cool! I have a professional RME audio interface that allows me to mix a multitude of inputs and outputs through 32 virtual channels and 32 physical channels. I'll keep your options in mind in case I run into issues with voicemeeter. I manage to get voicemeeter working somewhat so I'm going to use it for now. I've gone through many different videos, forums and so on trying to find a fix but nothing works. I also can't use voicemeeter to get this working because it causes other issues on my system.įor now I've tried updating audio drivers and tested many things that have worked for others. What makes this weird is that it seemed to have worked for a while but then it stopped and I couldn't get it working again. I'm running my mic through my streaming PC to my gaming PC and it works fine, but I can't do the same to the headphones because for some reason OBS won't let me listen to the capture card. Yesterday I got my streaming PC finished and noticed that the desktop audio isn't going through to the streaming PC unless I set the capture card as a default playback device on my gaming PC and if I do set it as a default device I won't hear the sounds myself through my headphones. I need some help with my capture card's audio because I'm clueless on how to fix this.
